Thank you to everyone who responded with an outpouring of support and encouragement to the news that I am now fighting cancer as well as Parkinson’s disease. The confidence you express in my ability to survive both of these diseases strengthens my resolve to beat the odds. I am especially grateful for your firsthand accounts of how my stories on www.pdplan4life.com have touched so many lives around the world, empowering people to live well with Parkinson’s. Helping others gives meaning to our lives.
I regret that many of us have not had the opportunity to meet in person, but am grateful for the closeness that comes from sharing our lives and baring our souls to each other on line. It is comforting to know that in the darkness of the night, when life seems scariest, friends are only keystrokes away, waiting with virtual hugs and encouraging words. Your prayers and good wishes are much appreciated as well. I would be remiss if I did not tell you that you have touched my life as much as you credit me with touching yours. Thank you for your support and friendship, and for helping me defeat my demons.
Of course, well written and from the heart, as always!
